ABOUT THE ROCKHOUND SHOP
The ROCKHOUND SHOP has been the Vaulkhard family business since 1967! We are in VICTORIA, B.C., on Canada's beautiful Vancouver Island. (Postal code V8X 2S6.)
Our store building here at 777 Cloverdale Avenue was built new in 1975 specifically for our use. Even the outside of our building is interesting, with colourful panels of rocks from around the world, and "museum windows" displaying mineral treasures.
We are Vancouver Island's only complete rock and lapidary supplies store. Our products include a wide range of supplies, equipment & books for the jewelry-maker, stone-polisher, soft-stone carver, rock and fossil specimen collector, and prospector. And we have ready-to-wear jewelry, gift items, and "Crystal Awareness" items.
We are a retail store for hobbyists and gift buyers, as well as many of the Island's jewelry stores that come to us for supplies and/or repair work [Gerry, our manager and lapidary, is an expert at producing cabochon-style stones in standard or unusual shapes].
